■ The highlight of the project is the “payment function” installed for the first time!
From February to March 2026, we conducted a mobile vending experiment using robots at the Yamato Transport headquarters building. This time, for the first time, the robot was equipped with a payment function, and a system was built to actually allow users to make purchases. The usage is very simple. The QR code displayed on the robot’s lid is scanned with a smartphone to select an item, and cashless payment is made. Once the payment is completed, the lid automatically opens and the user receives the product, creating a smart and smooth purchasing experience.

■ The robot was very active in carrying baked goods and beverages for visitors from Yamato Group company Swan Co! Many employees used
This time the robot carried delicious donuts, pound cake, and other baked goods from Yamato Group company Swan Corporation, as well as drinking water for visitors.

The mobile vending robot that suddenly appeared in the office attracted a lot of attention and was used by many employees every day. The robot was well received as a quick break from work and as a convenient snack for those who were hungry. By also using the robot to distribute beverages to visitors, it was able to achieve its technical objectives, such as operational stability in an office environment and verification of the payment function, while also making a significant contribution to expanding the snack service for employees and visitor support.
